Distribution of hospitals in Spain 2022, by type
In 2022, more than 49 percent of all hospitals in Spain were private for profit institutions, while over 45 percent were public. Additionally, close to 2.4 percent of hospitals in the European country were managed by non-governmental organizations, similar to the share of hospitals corresponding to mutual funds related to work related accidents and illnesses.
