
Malaria among patients in Spain in 2022, by age group
The number of individuals with malaria treated in Spain in 2022 amounted to around 0.15 per thousand patients. This figure was highest among adults aged 35 to 64 years, with a malaria prevalence of about 0.21 cases per thousand patients. Those aged 15 to 34 years followed, with about 0.14 individuals affected by the disease for every thousand people treated in primary health care services in the country. That year, Spain reported 669 cases of malaria.
