Gross loss ratio for goods in transit insurance in Spain 2005-2023
The annual gross loss ratio in merchandise insurance in Spain fluctuated significantly between 2005 and 2023. The gross loss ratio in this insurance sector peaked in 2018 at 76.1 percent, before dropping in the following years. As of 2023, the gross loss ratio within the insurance of goods sector in Spain had decreased to 49.7 percent. The lowest ratio recorded during the time period under observation was in 2010, when the gross loss ratio in merchandise insurance was 36.2 percent.
