Sales volume of beer in Alko stores 2017-2023

The sales volume of beer in Alko stores decreased from 8.2 million liters in 2017 to below five liters in 2022. In 2023, 4.6 million liters of beer were sold by the Finnish alcohol retail monopoly. 

The new Alcohol Act allowing retail stores to sell alcoholic beverages containing up to 5.5 percent alcohol came into force in Finland in March 2018.
