This statistic presents the evolution of the digital gender divide in Spain regarding the participation in the social networks from 2013 to 2020. The use of social media in Spain showed a development opposed to most ICT technologies, since women are the main users of this type of services. Thus, for example, the percentage of female internet users who carried out some action on social networks during 2020 was over three percentage points higher than the male percentage.
