According to a survey carried out in 2022, alcohol and tobacco, both legal drugs, were the most consumed drugs among individuals aged 15 to 64 years in Spain. More than three-fourths of respondents stated that they had consumed alcohol during the year before the survey. This figure amounted to nearly two-fifths in the case of tobacco consumption. Meanwhile, around 10.6 percent of those interviewed consumed cannabis in Spain. Alcohol and tobacco are both substances known to impact human health negatively.
