As of 2020, virus scanners were the most commonly known digital security measure known to Dutch respondents. Roughly 81 percent of all respondents, which stem from both SMEs as well large companies, indicated that they are familiar with and/or use virus scanners. Roughly 25 percent, on the other hand, said the same thing on VPN connections. Open source hard-and software were the least known: about 15 percent of the respondents said they knew about this protection.
