According to the source, the amount of tourism workers registered with the Spanish social security system steadily declined since January of 2020 with more than 2.33 million professionals working in this sector. Although this figure increased during the summer months of the same year, peaking in July at approximately 2.32 million professionals, it declined again by almost 200 thousand workers by December.
