This statistic presents the distribution of the housing offer in the main P2P platforms for renting tourist houses in the most important urban destinations in Spain by January 2015, by district. In the case of Madrid, of the total of its offer of places in tourist rental properties offered through P2P platforms such as Airbnb, 81% were in their tourist districts, percentage only surpassed by the one registered in Barcelona.

The 12 urban destinations under study comprise 70% of the regulated tourist places and account for 77% of overnight stays registered in 2014 of the total urban destinations analyzed in INE statistics.
The Data comes from the revision of 49,123 advertisements published between January and March 2015 on the 10 P2P platforms of hosting services in the most important tourist rental properties present in the Spanish market based on the number of advertisements included in their websites in January of 2015: Airbnb, Wimdu, HomeAway, - HomeAway Vacation Rentals Welcome to HomeAway - More than 325,000 vacation rentals to choose from!
