Number of deaths from septicemia in Spain 2005-2021
The number of deaths from septicemia in Spain fluctuated during the analyzed period. In 2021, the number of fatalities resulting from sepsis reached 2,850 cases nationwide, an increase of 105 deaths compared to the previous year. However, septicemia-related deaths showed an overall decreasing trend after peaking at over 4.1 thousand deaths in 2015.
