In 2022, Coldelco was the largest copper producer in Chile, with an output of over 1.5 million metric tons, or approximately 29 percent of the national copper production. Minera Escondida ranked second, with more than one million tons produced. Escondida is the largest copper mine in the world, based on capacity.
