Capacity of seniors' accommodation establishments France 2004-2018
In the space of more than a decade, the number of beds in residential facilities for the elderly (EHPA) experienced a drastic decrease. As a matter of fact, figures declined from around 230,000 beds in 2004 to barely 30,000 units in 2018, representing a loss of more than 200,000 places available. In contrast, an opposite trend was observed for EHPADs during the same period.
