Hotels and tourist apartments were the most chosen type of accommodation among Spanish residents who traveled in the summer of 2022, according to a survey. Nearly 40 percent of domestic tourists surveyed reported to have stayed in that type of establishment during domestic trips.

The question posed in the survey was: "¿Qué tipo de viaje han realizado los españoles en las vacaciones de verano?" (In free translation: What kind of trip have people in Spain made in the summer holidays?). Multiple answers were possible.
