This statistic shows the average expenditure (excluding airfare and pre-paid tour packages) of international tourists that visited Iceland in the summer of 2016, by age group. Respondents aged 55 years and older had the highest average with respect to expenditure, spending an average of over 199.5 thousand Icelandic króna (ISK) during their travels to Iceland.
