Fast food franchises: openings and closures in Spain 2018

This statistic presents the number of openings and closures of fast-food franchise establishments in Spain in 2018, by type. Most of the establishments in the fast-food industry experienced more openings than closures, especially pizza restaurants and burger restaurants, which featured 152 and 89 openings and only 40 and 11 closures respectively. Bars and taverns are the establishments that experienced most closures, with 79 restaurants that closed down that year and only 76 new businesses.
