Tesla Motors, known for their innovative full-electric passenger cars, hit a new sales record in Finland in 2023. The American automotive manufacturer had over 4,400 new passenger car registrations more in 2023 than in the previous year. In 2023, there were over 6,100 new Tesla passenger car registrations. Tesla Motors also ranked as the leading battery-electric car brand in the country, with the highest number of cars in traffic.
Model 3 in the lead as the most popular model of Tesla Motors
Out of the 6,450 Tesla cars on the road, by far the most popular model was the all-electric, five-door sedan Model 3 with more than 9,100 vehicles. This also made Tesla Motors the most expensive used car brand in 2017.
Fluctuations in the automotive industry in Finland
In recent years, the number of new electric car registrations increased in Finland, as did natural-gas fueled vehicles and hybrids. This was not the same for the overall new registrations of passenger cars, which experienced inconsistencies in the last ten years.
