Mobile news consumption browser vs. app Japan 2013-2019

The statistic shows the results of an online survey conducted among internet users in Japan in February 2017 about the mobile news media usage. In fiscal 2017, approximately 32.9 million internet users read news via their mobile browser and about 46.8 million readers used apps. These numbers were estimated to increase to about 33.9 million and 54.1 readers, respectively, in 2019.
