Brazil: visitor spending on Carnival 2019
Carnival is one of the most important holidays of the year in Brazil. A survey carried out in February of 2019 revealed that most respondents in Brazil would spend less than 500 Brazilian reals on Carnival celebrations. The expenditure with the highest share of respondents was between 100 and 300 Brazilian reals, with 28 percent of the people surveyed saying they would keep their Carnival spending in that range. Only five percent of respondents were willing to spend 2,000 Brazilian reals or more during Carnival.
