This statistic illustrates the distribution of alcohol consumption in France from 1960 to 2014, by type of beverage. The consumption of hard liquor increased significantly during the period in question, from about 16 percent to nearly 35 percent in 2014. However, the consumption of wine for everyday consumption decreased by almost 40 percent, reaching 8.5 percent at the end of the relevant period.
