This statistic illustrates the audience share of the main TV channels in Italy in the period from September 2016 to May 2017. According to the study, Canale 5 and Rai 1 where the most popular channels among Italian viewers, being watched by 16.4 and 17 percent of the audience, respectively. This was almost three times the figure for the other two public television channels, Rai 3 and Rai 2, with an audience share of about seven and six percent respectively.
