This statistic illustrates the average minute rating (AMR*) of the main TV channels in Italy in the month of October 2016. According to the study, Canale 5 and Rai 1 where the most popular channels among Italian viewers, with an AMR score of 1,709,506 and 1,621,750 viewers per minute, respectively. This was more than double the figure for the other two public television channels, Rai 3 and Rai 2, with an AMR score of 697,060 and 645,907 viewers per minute respectively.
