This statistic shows the number of fraud cases that were reported to Cifas from 2015 to 2018 in the United Kingdom (UK) by type of fraud. In 2018, there were almost 322 thousand reported cases of fraud in the UK. Cases of identity fraud were the most common during the period and in 2018 accounted for over 189 thousand fraudulent crimes, or almost 59 percent of cases.
