As of March 2023, Engie Electrabel, the Belgian subsidiary of the French multinational Engie, reached the highest market share in the supply of electricity in Flanders with over 40 percent. Luminus was the second-largest, with a market share of 24.1 percent, followed by Eneco.
Belgium has four governments, one national and three regional: the Brussels capital region, Flanders and Wallonia. The distribution and monitoring of electricity and natural gas happens on the three regional levels, therefore no national numbers are available.
