The highest percentage of victims with 20.2 percent lost between 100 and 249 British pounds. Only 0.1 percent of cases of victims of fraud that included financial loss lost over 40,000 British pounds.

The source adds the following information: "This represents incidents, where an amount of money or cash had been stolen or taken as a direct result of fraud, regardless of any later reimbursement, or any additional charges or costs incurred (e.g. bank charges, repair costs, replacement costs etc). Incidents of computer misuse are therefore not included in the analysis."
