Annual taking rent per sf of industrial big-box property in the U.S. 2013-2023
The annual taking rent per square foot of big-box distribution space in the United States has more than doubled between 2013 and 2023. In 2023, the annual asking rent per square foot of big-box building inventory amounted to 8.43 U.S. dollars, an increase as compared to 7.56 U.S. dollars per square foot in 2022. Big-box buildings refers to large industrial buildings used for distribution. The number of big-box buildings has steadily increased since 2013.
