As of June 2024, Engie had the largest market share in the supply of natural gas in Flanders, at 38 percent. Luminus held the second largest market share, with nearly 23 percent. In Belgium, no natural gas is being produced. All natural gas is imported from abroad.
Belgium has four governments, one national and three regional: the Brussels capital region, Flanders and Wallonia. The distribution and monitoring of electricity and natural gas happens on these three regional levels, therefore no national numbers are available.
