Get in touch with us nowTelenor was the largest provider of mobile phone subscriptions in Norway from 2019 to 2023. Telenor accounted for 42 percent of the market share, closely followed up by Telia with just under 40 percent. Additionally, Ice Norge accounted for over 14 percent of shares.
The highest number of Telenor subscriptions in 2021 was mobile subscriptions, which amounted to nearly three million. Next in the ranking were fixed internet and TV subscriptions, whereas fixed telephony ranked last that year. Regarding traffic, Norwegians seemed to spend to more and more minutes calling from mobile subscriptions over the period from 2016 to 2020 when it slowed down.
As of the first quarter of 2021, Sweden was the country with highest number of mobile Telenor subscriptions. Norway ranked second, followed by Finland.
