Leading perfume and toilet preparations manufacturers by revenue in Spain 2023

In 2023, Productos Capilares L'Oréal SA led the ranking of the main Spanish companies specialized in the manufacturing of perfumery and toilet preparations based on its revenue, which added up to around 405 million euros in that year. The Burgos-based company is responsible for manufacturing and distributing well-known products and treatments especially for hair. In the same year, Isdin SA ranked second, with revenue of nearly 330 million euros. Meanwhile, Lipotec SAU ranked tenth. 

Pharmaceutical cosmetics: a booming market

Consumers are increasingly concerned about their health and are looking for natural products. That is why the purchase of personal care products in pharmacies has been rising in the last years. In fact, Isdin SA is one of the top-selling brands of female body care in pharmacies and one of the leading cosmetic manufacturers in Spain too. Other principal brands in the pharmaceutical cosmetics market are Bolton Cile Esp SA in men's care products and Dentaid SL or Lacer SA in oral hygiene products.

Skincare, the leading sector of the cosmetics industry in Spain

A sector associated with the pharmaceutical industry, skincare, occupies the highest share of the cosmetics and perfumery market in Spain, with nearly 33 percent of sales in 2023. That same year was an important one for the cosmetics and perfumery industry in Spain, as sales value amounted to about 10.4 billion euros.
