Deaths from chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis in Spain 2005-2022
In 2022, the number of deaths due to chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis in Spain amounted to around 4,500, down from approximately 4,600 deaths registered a year prior. This figure showed an overall decreasing trend compared to 2005, when approximately 5,800 people died from chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis in the European country. During the same period, deaths from chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis were more prevalent among men than women in Spain.
