This statistic shows the change in prescriptions dispensed and prescriptions purchased in U.S. pharmacy formats between 2012 and 2016. In this period, total prescriptions in the mail pharmacy segment declined significantly, while at the same time purchases increased, mainly by the dispensing of specialty medications.
