This statistic shows a number of consumer insights, by gender, in regards to contactless payment in the United Kingdom in 2016. Males have less trust and are therefore less likely to pay through contactless cards with 35 percent compared to 29 percent of females not trusting contactless payment systems enough to use them. This still shows a high level of mistrust in contactless cards. Only 10 percent of males and 9 percent of females hope that the maximum limit for their contactless cards keeps rising as to 25 percent of males and 28 percent of females believing that the current 30 British pound limit should not be raised. One of the leading positives that respondents find with contactless payment is that they do not have to enter a PIN in the presence of others.
