The statistic displays the year-on-year (YoY) change of the total number of accommodation guests in Japan in 2017, sorted by regional block. In 2017, the highest growth was recorded for Kyushu with approximately 7.1 percent more guests than in 2016. By contrast, the number of guest nights dropped in the Tohoku region by about 4.4 percent.
