The number of newly built apartments sold in France has declined quarter-on-quarter since the beginning of 2022, reaching a record-low in 2023. In the third quarter of the year, there were about 15,000 newly built apartments sold - less than half of the sales volume in the first quarter of 2021 when the market peaked. The main reason behind this trend is the declining supply of new apartments.
