Annualized premium of individual life insurance policies in force Japan FY 2013-2022
The annualized premium of individual life insurance policies in force in Japan totaled about 27.7 trillion Japanese yen in fiscal year 2022. The value, which includes annuity insurance and third-sector insurance, declined for the fourth consecutive year. The annualized premium is the amount of premium income which a life insurer would receive in one year, under the assumption that the premium is equally divided and paid throughout the entire contract period.
