Life insurers' annualized premium of individual policies in force Japan FY 2014-2023
The annualized premium of individual insurance policies in force of life insurance companies in Japan totaled about 28.2 trillion Japanese yen in the fiscal year 2023. The value, which includes annuity insurance and third-sector insurance, increased for the first time in five years. The annualized premium is the amount of premium income which a life insurer would receive in one year, under the assumption that the premium is equally divided and paid throughout the entire contract period.
