Based in Brussels, KBC Group is a bank insurer with roots dating back to 1935. The acronym KBC comes from KredietBank and CERA. As of January 2022, the company ranked second among the largest banks in Belgium by number of bank branches, beating its competitors such as ING and BNP Paribas Fortis.
