Value share of drugs sold in pharmacies in Spain 2022, by therapeutic group
In 2022, pharmaceuticals designed to treat the nervous system had a value share of approximately 23 percent of the total value of pharmaceutical products sold through pharmacies in Spain, the highest share value among therapeutic groups. Pharmaceutical products within the category of digestive system and metabolism ranked second, with an estimated value share of 21 percent. In that year, total pharmaceutical sales in Spain were estimated at nearly 23 billion euros.
