Italy: number of fraudulent use of e-money transactions H1 2012-H2 2016
This timeline gives information on the number of fraudulent use of e-money transactions in Italy from the first half of 2012 to the second half of 2016. Over the period of consideration, there was a sharp increase in the number of fraudulent payment transfers, rising from around 2.6 thousand in the first half of 2012, to over 16 thousand in the 2nd half of 2016. The peak of fraudulent e-money transfers was found in the 1st half of 2016 (roughly 16.4 thousand units).
