In 2023, approximately 186,200 new vehicles were registered in Colombia. This represented a fall of around 29 percent of the new vehicle registrations reported a year earlier. In April 2020, new vehicle registrations in Colombia plummeted as lockdown measures against the spread of COVID-19 were enforced in the country. Monthly sales recovered in 2021 and 2022, with January recording the lowest sales volume for 2022, at nearly 17,400 sales. In 2023, sales fell once more, with the highest number of sales being in December 2023 with nearly 20 thousand new registrations.
