In 2020, the Tesla Model 3 was the most popular all-electric vehicle in the United States with around 90,000 units sold. Year-on-year, Tesla sold significantly fewer units of its Model 3 in 2020. That said, the California-based electric vehicle maker dominated the ranking and sold an estimated total of about 200,000 vehicles in the United States in 2020. That year, over 70,000 units of the newly launched Model Y were registered in the United States, and Tesla's worldwide vehicle deliveries came close to 500,000 units.
