In 2023, 4G was the predominant mobile connection technology across the Asia-Pacific region at 50 percent. The latest generation, 5G, was forecast to account for 45 percent of APAC's mobile technology mix by 2030, overtaking 3G to become the second most common connection type, while the connection rate of the latter will drop significantly.
