Finland: production volume of organic crops by type 2022

In 2022, the production volume of organic crops in Finland increased overall. The production volume of organic oats peaked at around 107 million kilograms in 2022, increasing 48.8 million kilograms from the previous year. Furthermore, the production volumes of organic mixed crops, and barley increased notably. Meanwhile, the production of potatoes decreased slightly.

In Finland, cold winters limit crop production potential, but decrease the need for pesticides. Due to rainfall during summer months, irrigation is only needed occasionally.
