The biggest motivators for tourists from China to visit Great Britain are the cultural attractions and to try local food and drink. According to a survey conducted in 2016, 37 percent chose Britain as a holiday destination in order to try local food and drink compared to only an 18 percent average for global markets overall. Cultural attractions motivated a similar number of Chinese tourists as other international toursts, at just over 40 percent.
