In 2022, there were about 78.8 thousand judo therapists in Japan. The number has grown steadily since 2006. Judo therapy, also known as bone-setting, is a physio therapeutic bodywork from Japan using joint manipulation and has developed alongside the Japanese traditional sport Judo. It requires a national license to work as a Judo therapist in Japan.
