In 2023, over 95 percent of people in Italy who were university graduates or holding a higher title of education used the internet at least occasionally. Roughly 91 percent of people holding a high-school diploma were internet users, while in the case of people with a middle school diploma or a technical qualification, the number of internet users decreased to 78 percent. The lowest percentage was found at the elementary school level: in fact, only 52 of the respondents with elementary levels of education were internet users in the examined period.
