In 2022, 45.4 percent of Italians living in Trentino-South Tyrol read a newspaper at least once a week, making it the Italian region with the highest percentage of weekly newspaper readers. The Aosta Valley, Sardinia, and Friuli Venezia Giulia followed with more than 34 percent of people in these regions engaging with newspapers weekly. By contrast, Sicily and Puglia were the regions with the lowest share of individuals reading a newspaper at least once in a week, at under 18 percent.
