Organic product sales increased in the S Group grocery stores annually in the period from 2014 to 2020. The highest growth rate for organic product sales, 21 percent, was recorded in 2016, and the double-digit growth continued in the following years. By 2020, organic product sales of the S Group slowed down, as the growth rate declined to three percent.
The S Group is a Finnish cooperative operating in the retail and service sector. The group consists of independent regional cooperatives and SOK Corporation, which is owned by the cooperatives, and its subsidiaries. Finland is the main market of the S Group, but it also has operations in Estonia and Russia. As of 2020, the S Group had around 1,850 outlets in total.
