Italy: value of unpaid invoices in the public administration in 2016
This statistic illustrates the total value of received but unpaid invoices in the public administration in Italy as of December 31, 2016, broken down by size of the administrative centres. According to the study results, the Italian regions, provinces and local administrations had more than 41 billion euros in debt as of the end of 2016. The majority of this (over 33 billion) had to be paid by the local administrations.
