This statistic represents the number of babies born in Italy in 2014 and 2015. According to the study results, the number of births decreased by some 50,000 in the selected period, from about 535 thousand in 2014 to around 485 thousand in 2015. In both years the number of babies born in Italy was the fourth largest in Europe, although Italian women are among the least fertile women in Europe.
