Visa, Mastercard, Amex transaction number in Latin America 2018-2022
In 2022, more than 27 billion purchases were made with Visa in Latin America. Meanwhile, Mastercard trasactions amounted to 19 billion. In 2022, Brazil was the country with the highest number of credit cards in Latin America. In 2022, Visa still had the majority of all general purpose card payments within the Latin America region - although its market share remained relatively unchanged.
