Between 2022 and 2023 the share of postponed or withdrawn IPOs increased sharply compared to the previous years. Between 2014 and 2021, the share of postponed or withdrawn fluctuated between 10 and 23 percent, before climbing significantly to 28 percent in 2022 and peaking at 54 percent in 2023. The sharp rise in 2023 suggests a challenging environment for IPOs, due to market volatility and generalized economic uncertainty.
